If you are ill, injured or are not feeling very well mentally, you should first contact a health centre. Staff at the centre can help you to stay fit and well and support you in your effort to lead a healthier life.
A health centre can provide help with a range of conditions, including:
- Infections (such as a persistent cough, runny nose, fever, sore throat or bladder infection)
- Asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)
- Gastrointestinal problems
- High blood pressure and cardiovascular disorders
- Skin problems and wounds
- Mental ill-health
- Memory loss or dementia
- Gynaecological problems
Each health centre has an expert team of doctors, district nurses, assistant nurses, rehabilitation coordinators, and staff who work with mental health.
All health centres have their own websites.
