Assistive devices

To make day-to-day activities easier, personal assistive aids could be part of your therapy and rehabilitation. Assistive devices can improve or compensate for impaired body functions. They can help preserve functions for as long as possible, or prevent them from disappearing.

After assessing your needs, you could be prescribed an assistive device for a longer or shorter period.

Broken assistive devices

If your assistive device breaks, or is dangerous to use, you should contact Hjälpmedelscentralen (Assistive Devices Centre) at once on 010-473 80 80, or get in touch with a Närhälsan rehabilitation clinic. If you have an accident when using your assistive device, you must contact the rehabilitation clinic where you received the device and they will then investigate the accident.
